Dorothy Ley Hospice Opens New Doors

In late February, what began 25 years ago as a search for a better way to care for someone living the final stages of cancer culminated in the opening of the Dorothy Ley Hospice's new Palliative Care Centre. On February 27th, they showcased their beautiful 22,000-square-foot building that will offer 24-hour residential care to 150 people annually living the final days of their lives. The centre is located at 220 Sherway Drive.
The Dorothy Ley Hospice is a volunteer-driven, staff-managed organization that offers compassionate care to people living with the challenges of a life-limiting illness or loss and helps them live their lives to the fullest. They touch the lives of more than 2,000 every year. For more information, call 416-626-0116 or visit www.dlhospice.org.
