It was that time of the year again in early August. It was carnival time. On Thursday, August 2nd, while the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto (more affectionately referred to as Caribana) was in full swing downtown, LAMP Community Health Centre's Street Level program hosted their annual Streetbana event ahead of the Civic long weekend. This year's festivities featured a live DJ mixing Caribbean classics and new tunes, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament with loads of prizes up for grabs, a cultural display of arts and crafts, Caribbean-style foods and lots more.
