Alisa, in clownish character for a part in Les Sylphides

Rehearsing for 25 Days

On February 19th, the Assembly Hall will be home to a benefit show in support of St. Joseph's Health Centre's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Alisa Walton, director of Brave Body Pilates on Lake Shore Blvd., has brought together a cast of dance, theatre and circus artists, all over the age of 40, for 25 Days, a series of short acrobatic, juggling, clown and dance pieces. Walton organized and assembled the show as a nod to the neonatal team at St. Joseph's Health Centre, which saved her youngest son David James's life. The show was named after the number of days her son, who was born with persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn, spent in hospital.
In mid-January, SNAP paid a visit to Brave Body Pilates to catch one of the rehearsals for 25 Days. For information or tickets, call 416-503-3500.
