Calling All Mommies
The first ever Mom 2 Mom sale was a great success with 60 vendors and over 1000 eager moms, dads and kids walking through the doors of the Franklin Horner Community Center at the end of April. Organized by local mom Melissa Shannon, the idea behind the event was to allow moms to sell their gently used baby and kid items they no longer needed to other families. As well, mom-preneurs set up shop to display their beautiful items, many of which were lovingly hand-crafted. An event for the whole family, there was a puppet show, activities and crafts for the kids, coffee and tea for the parents and raffle prizes galore.
